We Disappear

Check out this trailer for Scott Heim's forthcoming novel, We Disappear:

We Disappear is the author's third novel, coming out on the heels of the film adaptation of his novel Mysterious Skin.

I like this trailer a lot. It's fairly vague--more like a DIY film trailer than a visual rap sheet from a book publicist. It actually tells you very little about the book--no characters, no plot. It's more about conveying a mood or a tone--I dunno, I guess I'd be expecting a book that's grainy, searching, a journey?--slightly sexy, cold, off the beaten path...interesting how the Missing Child notices seem to be posted in pretty creepy places...park boards, abandoned houses..a missing poster/ransom note...looking forward to it.
