Tay Zonday: Officially Over

Did you see the youtube phenom Tay Zonday at First Avenue last weekend?

Tay Zonday, in case you aren't a college student with an iSight, is the University of Minnesota American Studies Ph.D. student whose Chocolate Rain youtube clip has garnered over 10 million views as of today.

A few days ago, he graced the main stage at First Avenue opening for Girl Talk, and thanks to local blog Twin Cities Live, there's video. Wow. I want to look away. But I just can't.

Chocolate Rain worked because this dude exuded confidence. It didn't matter if the song was good or bad. He completely believed in the song and in himself.

On stage, not so sure. The confidence is gone. He's let the ambiguity get to him.
