Bike goes to bike heaven

Sunday morning it was like a demolition derby outside my apartment! Marc and I were woken up at about four am by a giant crash and boom right outside my apartment window on the street below. I ran to the window only to see a giant white pick-up truck -- with an extended cab! -- reversing off the lawn of my apartment building. Somehow, it had rammed up over the sidewalk, perpendicular with the street, mind you, almost launching into the trashy, smoky barbershop below. In reversing back on to the street, it scraped against a street sign and totally demolished a bike chained there. Sad!

The next morning, Marc and I did some CSIing around the crime scene, after which he laid in the street like a dead bike messenger.
Good bikes go to bike heaven and get streamers and a banana seat.
Bad bikes go to bike hell, where they are spray painted and covered in duct tape and then spray painted again every day for a million years.
You'd be exhausted too if you were trying to ride off on a wrecked bike that's still chained to a sign.
